Sound Healing

Tibetan Singing bowl therapy & Sound healing

Tibetan Singing bowl Therapy, or Sound healing is a beautiful and gentle wellness therapy that taps into the soothing power of sound, vibration and frequency to nurture relaxation, ease stress, and support emotional balance. By surrounding you with deep vibrations and calming tones, it can help bring relief from stress, physical tension, lift your mood, and improve sleep. Many people find that it brings a wonderful sense of inner peace, boosts energy, and deepens their connection to their spirituality and higher self.

Sound healing is more than an auditory experience. Sound waves are felt through the skin and the body’s water composition (as our cells are 70% water content) and so the sound waves vibrate in the body.

During your one on one session, Tibetan singing bowls and Tingsha are used to create peaceful, resonant sounds that encourage deep relaxation and stress relief. The idea is that the energy centres in our body absorb the energy of the sound waves. These sound waves then travel through the body and deliver soothing, healing, harmonic sound waves to all parts of your body returning you to a state of balance and harmony.

Sound is a non-invasive tool that has been scientifically proven to:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety

  • Improve sleep

  • Reduce physical discomfort and pain

  • Deeply relax and calm the nervous system

  • Enhance relaxation and heal your body and mind

  • Increase mental and emotional clarity

  • Promote overall wellbeing

What to expect from your Sound healing session

Your session will begin with a brief consultation so that I can understand what has brought you in and what you’d like to focus on. This ensures that your session is personalised to best meet your needs. You will be fully clothed and I recommend wearing something comfortable and loose.

The Tibetan Singing bowls will be placed around and also on your body* during the session to enhance the healing experience through vibration and sound. My goal is to ensure you feel relaxed and supported throughout.

As the person receiving the healing, you may experience tingling, a profound relaxation, a sense of “lost” time, visions or emotions may come up for you. Each healing session is different, even for the same person but know that you are receiving healing in the way that YOU need on that day. Mostly you will likely feel very relaxed, most people tend to nod off but don’t worry if you don’t. The sound healing and vibrations will resonate in you whether you are consciously aware of it or not.

After your session it is recommended that you honour the healing by taking it easy, especially in the hours afterwards. Be gentle with yourself and make sure to drink lots of water/tea as the energy moving may cause you to feel dehydrated. You may experience some emotions come up or you may feel run down. It is all quite normal after a healing session as your body detoxes in the days following your session.

Highly recommend. My journey with Jo has been simply amazing. I made my self a promise this year to put on my oxygen mask on first and my mindset has calmed. Strange way to explain it but that’s what I feel, there are moments I feel that I am heading in the wrong direction and I just stop and take my self to my moments with Jo and instantly feel calm and safe . What I love the most is that my brain stops. It just stops thinking of what I need or should do. it’s the best feeling ever just to feel the energy work through my body.
