What is a Personal Branding Photoshoot exactly?

A personal branding photoshoot is focused on all the aspects of your brand, as well as your point of difference. It generally incorporates three elements.

What you do

We will capture what you actually do in action. Think interaction. Are you a Reiki practitioner? Let’s capture you chatting with a client, carrying out a session, meditating. Are you a yoga teacher? Let’s capture you taking a class, talking to students. That sort of I thing. Whatever it is in your unique business, I will capture you in action carrying that out!

The little details

The second is the little details of your business. Think close up creative imagery of items within your business. E.g plants, crystals, books, you holding something of value to you and also images of your place of business. These are the sort of things that are great story tellers on your website and social media. They are simple but meaningful images that are often overlooked. Isn’t it so much more authentic to have those elements captured that are yours that mean something to you, rather than a stock image off the internet that has no tie to you at all?!

Headshots

The third element is a headshot of you and the key people in your business. Headshots are used in so many instances; on your website, on your social media, on printed materials. Audiences love to know who it is they are dealing with. A professional looking headshot gives your potential clients a glimpse in to your soul.

Together these three elements convey the story of you and your business in imagery that reflects you and what you do!

How does a Personal Branding photoshoot work?

When you inquire about a personal branding shoot, we will discuss your vision for the shoot. What is it that you would like to convey? From my experience working with small businesses owners in the past, a branding shoot will focus on showcasing what it is you do in your business in an engaging manner. In preparation for your personal branding photoshoot, we will spend some time discussing your values, how it is that you are unique and what you would like to convey and we will chat about the various elements we will capture.

What do I wear?

Prior to your session we will have a chat so I can gain an understanding of what you would like to get out of your session. I will also guide you in regards to clothing selections before the session. The most important thing though is that you feel comfortable in what you are wearing and that your clothing is a reflection of you and your brand! For example do you normally wear bright colours? Let’s capture you wearing bright colours! But there’s a bit more to it than that, so when you book in, we can have a chat about clothing selection.

Also, as a general rule, you can have a change of clothing or two too! xxxxxxxxxx

Where will our photoshoot take place?

I recommend that our photoshoot take place in your work environment as this will help to build the story of your business and what you are about. It gives your audience an insight in to your place of business therefore starting to build up trust and familiarity.

However if you are a personal service and are mobile, we can discuss suitable options such as my studio, a location or outdoors. Again, it depends on you and what you feel comfortable with in telling your story.

How long will the photoshoot go for?

There are two different Collections that you can select from when booking. If selecting the Goddess Collection, the shoot time is approximately 90 minutes. If selecting the Divine Goddess Collection, please allow up to four hours to capture all the components of your brand.
